탄산음료 섭취가 심정지와 같은 치명적인 심장질환 발생에

영향을 줄 수 있다는 연구결과가 나왔다. 지나친 탄산음료 섭취는 심장질환과 비만,

대사증후군의 위험을 동시에 높이는 것으로 알려져 있다.



일본 후쿠오카대학교 케이지로 사쿠 교수는 나이 등 위험요인들을 조정한 뒤

지난 2005-2011년까지 일본 47개 지역에서 심정지 발생과 이들의

탄산음료 섭취 정보를 비교해 유럽심장학회에서 발표했다.



그 결과, 병원 바깥에서 신체 기능이 정지된 환자 78만명 가운데 55.4%가 심정지 때문이었다.

나머진 뇌혈관질환, 호흡기질환, 종양 등이 원인이었다.

사쿠 교수는 “탄산음료 섭취를 제한하는 게 도움이 되는 것으로

이번 연구에서 나타났다”며 “우유, 미네랄워터, 차, 커피, 코코아, 과일주스와 같이 탄산이

들어있지 않은 음료섭취의 경우 심장병에서 기인한 신체기능 정지와 무관했다”고 전했다.



하버드대학 논문에 따르면 탄산음료는 만성 심장 질환에 걸릴 가능성을 높인다.

탄산음료 섭취를 중단하기만 해도 심장 건강은 좋아진다는 게 전문가들의 조언이다.

탄산음료 속 당분은 혈당을 높여 원활한 혈액순환을 방해하고, 중성지방 수치도 올릴 수 있다.



탄산음료에는 65g 정도의 당분이 들어있다. 매일 한 캔씩만 마셔도

심장질환 발생 확률이 20% 정도 높아진다는 연구도 있다.

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

눈물 잘 나고 집중력 떨어지고



연구에 따르면 잠을 적게 자는 사람들은 심장 건강이 나쁘고 비만을 불러올 수도 있다.

이뿐만 아니라 수면 부족은 전혀 예상하지 못했던 증상을 일으키기도 한다.

미국 인터넷 매체 허핑턴포스트가 잠이 부족할 때 겪을 수 있는 뜻밖의 행태를 소개했다.



◆게걸스러워졌다=아침을 먹지 않거나 운동을 더 심하게 하는 것도 아닌데

하루 종일 배가 고프다면 수면 부족일 가능성이 높다.

2010년 섭식행동학회 회의에서 발표된 연구에 따르면 수면 부족은 배고픔을 촉발하는

그렐린 호르몬의 분비를 높인다고 한다. 이 호르몬이 조금만 늘어도 간식을 찾게 되고

고 탄수화물, 고칼로리 음식이 당기게 된다고 한다.

이는 잠을 충분히 자지 못하면 비만이 되기 쉬운 이유기도 하다.



◆자주 슬퍼진다=TV를 보다가 눈물을 흘리는 자신을 보고

당황스러워한 적은 없는가. 여성들은 즉시 생리 전 증후군을 들먹이겠지만

수면이 부족하면 쉽게 감정적이 되기도 한다. 2007년 연구에서 잠이 모자랄 경우

두뇌는 부정적이고 혼란스러운 이미지에 60% 이상 과도한 반응을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.



◆잘 잊고 집중력이 떨어진다=집중이 잘 안되면 나이나 스트레스 등이

원인이라고 생각하려 든다. 그러나 진짜 원인은 수면 부족일 수 있다.

잠을 적게 자면 전반적인 인지력에 문제가 생기고 주의 집중의 어려움, 혼란,

민첩함 저하, 건망증, 학습 장애 등을 겪을 수 있다.

따라서 열쇠를 어디 뒀나 기억이 안 날 때는 지난밤에 얼마나 잤는지를 먼저 따져봐라.



◆보통 때보다 동작이 서투르다=자명종을 누를 때 시계를 떨어뜨리고,

시리얼에 우유를 붓다가 흘리고, 나가다가 문에 발을 찧는다.

다 밤을 잘 못 잔 탓이다. 정확한 원인은 찾지 못했지만 졸릴 때 동작이 굼뜨거나

정확하게 행동하지 못한다고 한다. 반사운동이 둔해지고, 균형감과

깊이 감각이 불안정해진다. 그래서 집중력이 떨어질 수 있고,

반응 속도가 늦어지면서 달걀곽이 그냥 바닥에 떨어지고 마는 것이다.



◆사랑의 감정이 생기지 않는다=배우자나 연인에게 각별한 감정이

생기지 않는다면 스트레스나 건강이 안 좋다기보다는 잠을 푹 자지 못한 때문일 수 있다.

잠이 부족하면 스트레스 호르몬인 코르티솔 분비가 늘어나면서 매사에 의욕이 없어지기 때문이다.

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

고혈압, 흡연 등 특히 나빠



뇌졸중이 발생했을 때는 촌각을 다퉈 병원으로 가는 게 중요하다.

하지만 뇌졸중을 일으키는 원인 중 대부분은 생활습관과 관련된 것으로

장기간에 걸쳐 뇌졸중 위험이 증가되기 때문에 사전에 예방할 시간이 충분하다.



이와 관련해 뇌졸중을 불러오는 원인의 80%를 차지하는 5가지를

밝혀낸 연구결과가 있다. 캐나다 맥마스터대학교 마틴 오도넬 교수팀은

캐나다, 독일, 중국 등 22개국에서 뇌졸중 이력이 있는 성인 3000명,

 뇌졸중 이력이 없는 건강한 성인 3000명의 건강 자료를 분석했다.



그 결과, 뇌졸중을 일으키는 주 위험요인으로

고혈압 흡연 스트레스 복부비만 나쁜 식습관 혈중 지방 수치 당뇨병

음주 우울증 심장질환 등이 90%를 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.



연구팀은 “특히 고혈압, 흡연, 스트레스, 나쁜 식습관, 복부비만 등 5가지가

뇌졸중 위험 요인의 80%를 차지했다”며 “이 5가지는 생활습관을

바꾸기만 해도 조절할 수 있다”고 말했다.

또 “이중에서도 뇌졸중을 예방하려면 혈압관리가 최우선”이라고 덧붙였다.



뇌졸중에는 뇌혈관이 터지는 뇌출혈과 뇌혈관이 막히는 뇌경색이 있다.

고혈압은 뇌출혈과 뇌경색 모두를 부를 수 있기 때문에 특별히 잘 관리해야만 한다.



오도넬 교수는 “혈압을 일정하게 관리하려면 짠 음식을 덜 먹고 규칙적으로

운동해야 한다”며 “주기적으로 혈압을 측정하고 의사의 지시와 처방에 잘 따라야 한다”고 말했다.

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

폐에 악성종양이 생기는 것이 폐암으로 원발성과 전이성 폐암으로 구분할 수 있다.

원발성 폐암은 폐 자체에서 발생하는 악성종양이다. 보통 폐암이라 하면 원발성

폐암을 의미한다. 전이성 폐암은 위암, 간암, 대장암 등 다른 장기에서

생긴 암이 발생한 장기를 벗어나 폐로 전이된 것을 말한다.



담배는 폐암을 일으키는 가장 큰 원인으로 꼽힌다. 흡연자는 비흡연자에 비해

폐암에 걸릴 위험이 15~80배로 높다. 직업적으로 석면에 노출되는 것도 원인이다.

 석면은 저밀도 단열재, 건축자재 등에 사용되고 있다.



이 밖에 다른 원인으로는 유전적 소인, 방사선, 공해, 간접흡연,

바이러스 등이 있다. 폐암 환자의 20~30%는 비흡연자이다.



이와 관련해 금연 뿐 아니라 콩을 많이 먹는 식습관도 폐암의 위험을 낮춘다는

연구결과가 있다. 일본 도쿄 국립암센터 연구팀은 45~74세의 남성 3만6000명,

여성 4만 명 이상의 식습관, 흡연 여부, 병력 등을 11년간 조사했다.

그 결과 남성 481명, 여성 178명이 폐암 진단을 받았다.



조사 대상자 중 1만3000명가량의 비흡연자 남성 가운데 매일 콩을 34g 이하로

섭취하는 남성은 22명이 폐암에 걸렸지만 162g 이상 먹는 남성은 13명만이

폐암에 걸렸다. 이외에 병력과 같은 다른 위험 요소들을 고려하면

콩 섭취가 폐암이 걸릴 확률을 반 이상 줄여 주는 것으로 나타났다.



연구팀의 다이치 시마루 박사는 이 같은 결과에 대해 “콩을 많이

먹는 남성은 폐암을 예방할 수 있는 다른 생활습관에도 적극적으로 참여할 가능성이 크다”고 덧붙였다.

독일 하이델베르크 대학병원 연구팀은 남자 8명과 여자 7명을 대상으로

맥주 세 잔이나 와인 두 잔을 마시게 한 뒤 자기공명영상(MRI)으로

뇌의 변화를 관찰했다. 이 정도 술 양은 혈중 알코올 농도를 0.05~0.06%에 이르게 하며,

운전은 할 수 없지만 심하게 취하지는 않은 상태가 된다.



관찰결과, 술 마신 지 6분 만 지나면 뇌에서 알코올 농도가 증가하면서

세포를 보호하는 크레아틴 농도가 감소하고 세포막을 형성하는 콜린 역시

줄어드는 것으로 나타났다. 알코올이 흡수

되는 속도나 뇌의 변화에 남녀 차이는 없었다.



연구팀의 아민 빌러 교수는 “이러한 결과는 알코올이 뇌 세포막 조성에

 변화를 일으킨다는 것을 암시하는 것”이라며 “술이 깨면서 이런 현상은 사라지지만

 알코올 중독자들에게는 이런 현상이 지속적으로 반복되면서

영구적 손상이 일어날 것”이라고 말했다.

짝퉁 달걀, 짝퉁 분유 등 불법식품이 끊이지 않는 중국에서 이번에는

종이로 만든 가짜 쌀이 6개월 넘게 유통된 사실이 적발됐다.



광둥성(广省) 산터우시(汕市) 지역신문 산터우도시보(汕都市)의

보도에 따르면 현지 주민 차이(蔡) 씨는 연초에 재래시장에서 찻잎 상인으로부터

"친척이 재배하는 유기농 쌀"이라는 소개를 받고 상인에게 쌀 한 가마니를 구입했다.

차이 씨는 집에 와서 구입한 쌀로 밥을 먹었는데 일반 쌀과

큰 차이점을 느끼지 못했고 이후 해당 쌀을 꾸준히 구입했다.



6개월이 지난 어느 날,차이 씨는 가족들과 함께 여느 때와 없이 밥을 먹다가

잘 씹히지 않는 쌀을 발견했다. 차이 씨가 자세히 확인해보니 쌀이 마치 둘둘 말린

종이 같았고 나머지 쌀을 확인한 결과, 그제서야 그간 구입했던 쌀이 짝퉁 쌀이었다는 것을 발견했다.



차이 씨는 "그간 먹었던 쌀이 종이로 만든 가짜 쌀이었다는 것이 황당할 뿐"이라며

"구입하며 영수증조차 없다보니 이를 보상받을 수도 없다"고 말했다.



현지 공상부문은 "쌀 구입시 대형마트가 곡물류를 전문적으로 취급하는 상점에서

쌀을 구입해야 하며 만약 다른 곳에서 구입하더라도 영수증 등을 받는 것이 좋다"고 당부했다.
